Hello everyone, June has been as busy as ever here at Soniq. We have a really big focus on stability at the moment and finalising the last remaining features before we can remove the beta flag.
This doesn’t mean that we have no new UI improvements to shout about though. There are a couple of nice small additions which have come out recently, which I’ll take you through.
New Quick Switcher
We have rebuilt the quick switcher from the ground up to be more intuitive easier to navigate and more helpful. There are three different types of things that you can use the switcher for. The most obvious one is to simply search for contacts so that it also includes common pages that you can jump straight to or even common actions that you can trigger right from the wherever you are inside the app.
You can open this quick switcher from anywhere in the app by either clicking on the search box at the top or by pressing ⌘+K or Ctrl+K on your keyboard.
When you first Open the switch you get presented with a few common jump-to options.
As you type the options will be filtered and as you can see in the next screenshot, it has not only shown the relative pages, but also you can see the highlighted actions for create invoices and any contacts that your search will match.
Notification Settings and Weekly Digest
The weekly lessons email has been going out regularly every week for months now. So far there has never been a way to turn it off. The new notifications account section has been added to bring you this power, so you now have control over your inbox.
On a side note, we have renamed the email to the “weekly digest”. It will start to include more than just upcoming lessons. We want to add overdue invoices and quick actions which might be needed in the upcoming week.
What’s the focus for July
One of the final pieces to put in place before we can remove the beta flag is our refunds and lesson credits system. We’ve already got the ball rolling and getting this delivered will be the main focus for us in July.
I will talk more about this as the project progresses.
See you next time!
